After a loong absence.... here is my entry for Roadside theme.

The picture was taken in Bali, Indonesia, with PENTAX Optio WP.

January 2008, and we were determined to continue with our motorbike tour, although we had to get wet....wet...wet for two days in a row.
We were busy taking photos of the famous rice terraces of Bali, when this gentleman came along bringing some lunch for the cattle at home.

The first time I saw the theme this week for Picture Perfect, I immediately thought of this picture...
This photo was taken on Samosir Island, Lake Toba, North Sumatra, Indonesia, in January 2007. 
But as I was thinking of what to write to accompany it, I was thinking that another set of pictures will represent my thoughts better....

Feeling giddy because  I know my photos are  very very amateur...

Anyway....here is my first entry...

This picture was taken in January 2007 at Lake Toba, North Sumatra, Indonesia. (you can click on the image to make it larger).
I had at that time a very simple camera, Samsung Digimax A502, with a mini tripod I carry everywhere in my little bag. 

I was astonished to see the result, taking a photo at sundown, no flash, on the mini tripod.

This photo was taken in a journey that marked a life changing decision. 
And the photo itself sent a message to me that opportunities and choices are INFINITE...it very often depends on how we look at it, and where we look...no matter how simple...
Life is beautiful and it tends to keep up surprised, in a good way, if we want to look closer and just grab the chance.
